FAQ & Troubleshooting

FlightPack does not detect my simulator

Make sure your simulator is running before launching FlightPack, or restart FlightPack after the sim is fully loaded. For MSFS, SimConnect must be available — this is included by default with MSFS 2020 and 2024. If you installed MSFS from the Microsoft Store, try running FlightPack as Administrator.

If the issue persists, check that no other SimConnect application is blocking the connection. You can also try restarting your simulator.

My flights are not syncing to the cloud

Cloud sync requires an active internet connection and a signed-in account. Check the following:

  • You are signed in (check the top bar for your username)
  • Your internet connection is active
  • The flight has ended (engine shutdown) — in-progress flights do not sync until complete

Flights recorded while offline are queued and sync automatically the next time you are connected and signed in.

I did not receive a verification email

After signing up, FlightPack sends a verification email to confirm your address. Check your spam or junk folder first. If you still do not see it, sign in and click the Resend verification email button in the amber banner at the top of the dashboard. Note: if you signed up with Google, your email is already verified and no verification email is sent.

Email verification is optional — you can use FlightPack without verifying, but we recommend it to ensure you can recover your account if needed.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?and enter your email address. You will receive a link to set a new password. The link expires after 1 hour. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.

For security, resetting your password signs you out of all other devices.

How do I change my username or profile?

Go to Settings in the web dashboard. The Profile section lets you edit your first name, last name, and username. Usernames must be 3–20 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores only. Each username is unique.

You can also toggle whether your username appears on the community map from the same page.

What is the community map? Is my data shared?

The community map shows live and recent flights from FlightPack users. By default, your flights show general information (aircraft, route, duration) but not your username. You can opt in to showing your @username on the map from the Settings page under "Show my username on the community map."

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from the Settings page in the web dashboard. This permanently removes your account and all associated flight data from our servers. Any active subscription is automatically canceled. Local flight data on your desktop remains unless you uninstall FlightPack.

What plans does FlightPack offer?

FlightPack offers two tiers: Free and Pro. You can try FlightPack for 5 flights without an account. After that, a free account is required to continue.

Founding members can lock in Pro at $7.99/mo for life.

What is a Founding Member?

Founding Members are our earliest Pro subscribers. The first 500 pilots to subscribe to Pro lock in the $7.99/mo rate forever — even if the regular price increases later. There is no time limit — spots are available until all 500 are claimed.

Founding Members get a special gem badge next to their username on shared flight pages and in the app. It's our way of recognizing the pilots who believed in FlightPack early.

Is my flight data private?

Yes. Your flight data is private by default. The only public-facing feature is the live community map, which is opt-in. Your logbook, scores, and telemetry are never shared with other users.

Which simulators are supported?

FlightPack supports MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, X-Plane 11, and X-Plane 12. SimConnect is used for MSFS connectivity. X-Plane uses the RREF protocol for full telemetry parity with MSFS, including phase scoring and real-time coaching callouts.

Can I export my flight data?

Flight data export is on our roadmap. For now, all data is accessible through the web dashboard and desktop app.

How do I manage my subscription?

Go to Settings in the web dashboard and click Manage Subscription. This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can update your payment method, switch between monthly and annual plans, or cancel. If you cancel, Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
