Getting Started
FlightPack is a companion app for flight simulator pilots that automatically records every flight, tracks your progress, and helps you become a better virtual aviator. It runs quietly in the background — connect your sim and fly.
System Requirements
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later
- Simulator: MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, X-Plane 11, or X-Plane 12
- Connection: Internet connection for cloud sync (with account) and live map
- Storage: ~100 MB for the app, plus flight data
Download & Install
- Head to the Download page and grab the latest installer.
- Run the installer — it takes about 30 seconds.
- Launch FlightPack from your Start menu or desktop shortcut.
First Launch
When you open FlightPack for the first time, it will automatically search for a running simulator. If MSFS is open, FlightPack connects via SimConnect instantly — no configuration needed.
SimConnect Auto-Detection
FlightPack looks for SimConnect on startup and reconnects automatically if the sim restarts. You will see a green "Connected" indicator in the top bar when telemetry is flowing.
Telemetry Consent
On first run you may be asked about sharing your live flight position on the community map (coming soon). This is optional and can be changed anytime in Settings.
Create an Account
An account syncs your flights to the cloud automatically, giving you access to your logbook and flight history from any browser. You can sign up with email or Google. FlightPack also works offline — flights recorded without an account are stored locally and sync when you sign in later.
Your First Flight
- Open your simulator and load into an aircraft at any airport.
- Start the engines — FlightPack detects engine start and begins recording.
- Fly your route as usual.
- Shut down the engines at your destination — FlightPack saves the flight automatically.
- Open the Logbook to see your flight details, scores, and route.
